I Love Bread...Bready, Bread, Bread...
Hence, my decision to grow wheat on my plot this year. The process of growing a plant and transforming it into a warm loaf of bread intrigues me (and by "intrigues" I mean "hungers").
I chose to plant my seeds by broadcasting with the seed spreader and raking the dirt over it. This method has been proven to work just as well as planting in rows and, since my wife, Meriah, is trying the row method with her barley and oats, I decided to give this method a try.

Wheat as of May 31 |
So far, it has been an adventure waiting for germination, but my plot is fast filling up with little green seedlings! I am looking forward (with fingers crossed) to having beautiful healthy wheat plants that will lead to bellies full of delicious whole grain bread!!
